Indoor Practices:
There is a short practice before each game. Each week a new skill and is introduced. The skill of the week is in the coaching manual and also on the website under development - "skills and drills"

Outdoor Practices:

There is a 20 minute practice before each game. Each week a new skill and is introduced.  All teams work on the skill of the week. Assistant coaches and parents are encouraged to assist with the practices. Referees are also available to help out with the practices. The skill of the week is in the coaching manual and also on the website under development - "skills and drills".

Additional optional practices may also be called. These are usually on weekends as that is the only time that fields are available. Players are encouraged to attend, especially at the older ages. However, no child can be penalized or "benched" because they cannot attend practices. Central West/OPSL is a recreational league and all children are welcome, regardless of their talent, skills and abilities. Sometimes the parents work schedule or family circumstances make it difficult to get players to practices. At young ages, many parents find that one night a week is enough for their child.
